Yesterday was a record setting day for the Water Buffaloes!  I have attached final results from the CHSAA 5A State Championship.  We finished the season in 10th place finish with 134.5 points - our 29th Top-10 finish in program history and 7 places higher than we finished in 2025!!

200 Medley Relay - 1:36.83 - 15th place - Cooper Walkup, Nam Tran, Marshall Adams, Ethan Abele - 10th fastest 200 Medley Relay in Smoky Hill History (fastest without Daniel Yi)

50 Backstroke Split - Cooper Walkup - :24.20 - Team Record

 

200 Freestyle - Marshall Adams - 1:45.25 - 9th place - 13th All-Time at Smoky Hill

 

200 Individual Medley - Cooper Walkup - 1:50.25 - 2nd Place - Team Record - National High School All-American Time

 

100 Butterfly - Ethan Abele - :52.61 - 13th Place - Freshman Team Record - 7th All-Time at Smoky Hill

 

100 Freestyle - Cooper Walkup - :45.74 - 7th Place - Team Record

 

200 Freestyle Relay - 1:31.38 - 18th Place - Nam Tran, Connor Husson, Henry Stanley, Owen Abele

 

100 Breaststroke - Marshall Adams - :57.25 - 5th Place - 2nd All-Time at Smoky Hill

100 Breaststroke - Nam Tran - :59.61 - 17th Place - 9th All-Time at Smoky Hill

 

400 Freestyle Relay - 3:09.14 - 5th Place - Ethan Abele, Marshall Adams, Carl Johnson, Cooper Walkup - 2nd fastest 400 Free Relay in Smoky Hill History

100 Freestyle Split - Cooper Walkup - :45.08 - Team Record

 

We had 27 season best times.  So awesome to see so much hard work payoff in front of a huge crowd.  There is nothing like swimming in the CHSAA State Championship Finals and our kids swam with amazing grit and enthusiasm.  I am super proud of them.
