Last week was AWESOME!   We had a very competitive meet against Arapahoe and won the Denver East Angel Invitational on Saturday! 

 

It is finals week.  Good luck to everyone on their finals.  Please communicate with me if you will need to miss any practice time to be able to study.  We do have two meets on our schedule this week.  We host Eaglecrest (site to be determined) and we will be at VMAC for the largest invitational in the state on Saturday.  Everyone will participate in Thursday's meet.

Smoky Hill vs. Eaglecrest - We hope to have the meet at Smoky Hill.  Meet will be at Eaglecrest if the Smoky Hill Pool is not ready for use.

   4:20 pm - Away team swimming warm-up

Friday - December 19

Diving at The Rex Coaches Invitational

    2:30 pm - Warm-up begins

    3:45 pm - Diver/Coaches Meeting

Saturday - December 20 

The Rex Coaches Invitational at VMAC. 

    6:30 am - Doors open (Please arrive around 6:30 am)

    7:00 am - Prelim Swimming Warm-up

    8:30 am - Swimming Prelims Starts

    Top 30 in each event qualifies for Finals

    2:30 pm - Finals Swimming Warm-up

    3:30 pm - Swimming Finals Starts

 

Rex Memorial Coaches Invitational

Friday (December 19 - Diving) and Saturday (December 20 - Swimming) is The Rex Memorial Coaches Invitational at VMAC.  This is a qualifying meet.  Times/scores can be from this season or last season.  See the meet information for qualifying times.

Pool Update

The Smoky Hill Pool has been worked on all weekend and has now been filled.  The pool will begin to be heated and chlorinated on Monday.  I am not sure exactly how long it will take to have the pool up and running.  My hope is that we can still host our dual meet on Thursday.  We will need to still practice at Eaglecrest on Monday - Wednesday this week.  We owe a huge THANK YOU to our Athletic Director, David Benedict, and Head of CCSD Pool Maintenance, Nick Thomson.  They have worked very hard to advocate for us and get our pool back open. 

 

Meet on Thursday vs. Eaglecrest (site TBD)

Our meet on Thursday is against Eaglecrest.  We are officially the HOME team, but the site of the meet is still to be determined.  We will host the meet at Smoky Hill, if our pool is warm enough and chemicals are balanced.  If not, then we will host the meet at Eaglecrest.  Because this is officially a Smoky Hill home meet, we are still responsible for providing timers.  Thank you to everyone who has signed up to time. 

 

Lifting on Monday only this week

We will be in the Smoky Hill weightroom from 7:00 - 7:45 am, on Monday this week.  There will be no lifting on Friday morning.

Smoky Hill finishes 12th at the 5A State Championship.  We scored 111 points - 38 more than in 2024!!​
